Direct X 9.0 is an application programming interface which aids in running the multimedia programs like gaming and video applications on Windows platform. Direct X 9.0 was released in December 2002 and is one of the most efficient versions of the series. The interface is extremely small in size and weighs only a few megabytes. The platform basically provides a means for interpreting the codes which have been used for game development and video editing.
The 3D effects which are added in the games cannot be experienced without the aid of Direct X and it is one of the most important tools for translating the coded language.
